When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I wanted to paint another one. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I thought it was good to be kind to animals. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake just for me, and I knew that little things are special things. When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I believed there is a God I could always talk to. When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me good night, and I felt loved. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry. When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be. When you thought wasn't looking, I looked... and I wanted to say thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking. I am so grateful for all the things I learned when my Mom thought "I wasn't looking" If you could put one thing that you learned from your mom when she thought you were not looking what would it be....I would love to read it in the comments below!
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there who helped shape us by the things they did "when they thought we weren't looking!"

I have watched my Mother's strength in adversities over the years and seen the silent coping with loss of Dad, loss of son, loss of health. It instills in me the desire to be less complaining and to trust in my all-knowing and all seeing and caring Heavenly Father. Comments are closed.

Sarah GraceI am just an ordinary girl who is loved by an extraordinary God and I seek to love others the same way. I love to bake, read, do puzzles, watch Hallmark movies, and go shopping with my mom! This blog was created as a place where I could share some thoughts that the Lord has shown me and to be an encouragement to others who desire to know Him in a deeper way. My prayer is to learn to sit still and trust God with my future. Archives
