If you are interested in having Sarah come speak at your next ladies event, mother daughter banquet or even small Bible study group, just email [email protected]

I am just an ordinary girl who is loved by an extraordinary God and I seek to love others the same way.
A Passion for going deep into God's Word
Sarah has a heart for women and helping them discover who they are in Christ. Some of the topics she has shared at past events include:
  • Leah: every woman's struggle with being enough. So often we find ourselves saying if I lose this much weight or change my behavior someone will finally love me. We fall for the "too" lie, the one that says we are too big, too small, too outgoing, too shy, too something. Yet there is One who loves us with an everlasting love and has said we are enough because He is enough. The same God who saw Leah sees you and me today.
  • Beware the Life Robbers: the little things that can rob of us life such as: envy, anger, and bitterness.
  • The Purpose and the Power of the Quiet Place: why does our daily quiet time matter and what impact can it have on our everyday life?
  • Beyond the Ashes: When we look at a burned forest it is hard to see that this is not permanent. We see the charred remains of what used to be trees but the devastation will not remain. In our own life we sit in the ashes of our choices that lead to devastation and run but that is not the end of our story. Our God is the God of hope. He bestowed this precious gift of hope to the first women and it has been handed down to each generation. Learn how we too can rise above the ashes and learn to live again.
  • Anna: becoming women of the Word. She had spent the majority of her life at the temple and when Jesus was brought there by Mary and Joseph she, like Simeon, instantly knew who He was and rejoiced. She was called a prophetess, a woman of the word, a woman who had devoted her life to knowing God and speaking of Him to others. How can we become women like that?
  • The Shunammite woman: the meaning of contentment and faith. This unnamed woman has two powerful lessons to teach us in the realm of learning to be content and acting on faith.

Gathered with an amazing group of ladies as we discussed "The Dash", the line between the day we are born and the day we die. This little line encompasses the totality of our life. What we choose to do with this life is up to us. For the final workshop, Sarah taught on the topic of "Beware the Life Robbers: things that can rob us of living our life as it is meant to be".
Sarah speaking to a group of ladies at a Christmas breakfast. Our topic was the life of Elizabeth, a woman who chose to serve God no matter what. Even though she longed to have a child, her lack never dimmed her devotion to God. Her answer to prayer was also not given because she finally deserved it but because it was now the right time.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 When I think of and pray for Sarah Schurman, this verse frequently comes to mind. Like Paul, Sarah has a Christ empowered, strong story to share. Her solid understanding of the scriptures is evident as she encourages and challenges women of all ages to dig deeper into God’s Word and to run to Him in every season of life. Therein your Joy will be made complete and happily found.
