Hello! If you are curious about this blogger and want to know a little bit more about her then you have come to the right spot! The first interesting fact about me is that I was born in the beautiful country of Germany due to my father being in the Army and my mom being German. I enjoy having duel citizenship making it a great icebreaker at parties! In 2012 I was able to return to the land of my birth and take in the sights of my rich heritage. It was so good to see my family and enjoy some special time with them! We took many pictures and created some precious memories! I am thankful for the Christian home I was raised in and for the godly leaders the LORD brought into my life, I am richer for it. I made an early profession of faith yet struggled many times with assurance of my salvation. In the summer of 2010 I finally received assurance of my salvation. 2006 – the year my life changed forever. My dad returned from an overseas deployment and told my mom and I that he was filing for a divorce. Though that time was dark and filled with many fears and hurts, God gave my mom and I good friends who walked beside us and the assurance that He was in control. Together, with the help of our dear friends and the care of our LORD, we began to pick up the pieces of our life. We placed them in the loving hands of our heavenly Father and have since watched Him turn them into something beautiful and good just as He promised He would(Rom 8:28). In July of that same year I took my first job – a cashier at Chick-Fil-A(which gave me a new appreciation for fast food workers). In December, Mom and I were able to find employment together. In 2010 my life took another big turn; that was the year I accepted the position of Client Services Coordinator at our local Pregnancy Resource Center, a place dedicated to assisting ladies with their unplanned pregnancies. Did I mention that I had just turned 21?! I was so nervous on my first day and for many days after! Here I was a 21 year old virgin who had never dated and I was suppose to counsel ladies, whose ages ranged from 15 to 45, about all of their life's problems; problems I had never even dreamed of or understood! I am thankful for my boss and co-workers who were so kind, patient and understanding. Most of all I am grateful to my LORD who was there for me every step of the way, guiding me each day and through every situation and counseling session. He filled me with his words and wisdom. I grew so much there and am thankful for all that I learned. I have since changed positions within the Center and now work as their Events Coordinator, meaning I help with the fundraising aspect on a part-time basis. I love what I do and am happy serving in this position. I also graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor's degree in arts and work full-time with a kitchen and bath design center. In May of 2020 I chose to take another step of faith by creating a magazine for Christian women. The first edition came out September 2020 and will have a new issue every quarter. This is an exciting step, one that I am excited to see the Lord grow. My desire has always been to help women be the best they can be in Christ and I believe the encouragement found in between the cover of this new magazine will do just that. Be sure to check it out. Life is a journey, it is filled with many twists, bumps and surprises but each of these experiences help us to grow. Sometimes I look back and can see the purpose in it all but there are many that I still don't understand why. Its at those times when I simply chose to trust the One who gave His life for me. The One who asks me to trust Him when life is chaotic and I feel overwhelmed. Its in those moments that He whispers, "Just sit still my Daughter; I have you in the palm of my hand."
