Meet the Team behind Sit Still my Daughter

My favorite way to describe myself is to say: I am just an ordinary girl who is loved by an extraordinary God and I seek to love others the same way.
I love to bake, read, do puzzles, craft, thrifting, watch old Hallmark movies, and go shopping with friends. When I was 14, I began to seriously read the Bible for myself and since then God has continued to reveal Himself to me more and more. I am grateful for the many people He sent into my life who invested themselves and helped me become who I am today.
I am passionate about helping others discover the purpose and the power of the quiet place. This passion is what fuels my writing and weekly podcast.
I have learned that life is a journey. It is filled with many twists, bumps and surprises but each of these experiences help us grow in our faith. Sometimes I look back and can see the purpose in it all but there are many that I still don't understand the “why”. It is at those times when I simply choose to trust the One who gave His life for me. The One who calls me by name and asks me to believe in His promises when life is chaotic and I feel overwhelmed. Its in those moments that He gently whispers, "Just sit still my Daughter; I have you in the palm of my hand."

Hannah Austin

I am a devoted mother of two amazing little girls, a loving wife, and an enthusiastic Child of God, I wholeheartedly embrace the thrilling adventures of life and faith! I started writing as a teenager to express my emotions and share my experiences. I initially launched a ministry called The Bank, which faced challenges, but that didn't stop me! Two years later, I reignited my passion by sharing my heartfelt poems with a ministry named "In Jesus Name". This endeavor reached countless readers and opened doors for me to speak at Bible Studies and churches. I absolutely love graphic design and enjoy crafting engaging content. I delight in contributing to my church through Operation Christmas Child, media content, Children's sermons, and the flower committee. I am also PCA for Caring Legacy, where I joyfully spread God's love to the elderly. I have a PCA from the International Sports Science Association, along with Biblical certifications in Biblical Narratives from Hillsdale College. In my free time, I relish everything outdoors, from fishing to simply strolling through nature. My love of nature started when I began praying amidst nature during my morning quiet time. I would pray about everything and everyone, and that's when God started to reveal to me who I am as a Child of the King and how powerful prayer is. My favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:9, which inspires me every day!
I am absolutely thrilled to see how God will work through Sit Still my Daughter! I met Sarah at a ladies retreat with my church, and when you put two introverts together in a room, we're destined to open up and form a Godly friendship. After several Bible studies, deep conversations, and silly text messages, I am now part of the team. I am passionate about letting other women know that they are loved by a faithful God and that their past does not define them. God uses our pain for a purpose, and I can't wait to share God's message with others!

Rebekah Davis

Hello, everyone! My name is Rebekah Davis.I have been married since April of 2020. My husband and I do not have yet have any children. We do want children, but God timing is perfect. He has taught me a lot about His grace the last few years.
For fun, I enjoy going to coffee shops with friends , crocheting reading, baking and walking.
I was saved at the age of 4. When I was 18 the Lord led me to start writing a book on some women in the Bible. Since that time I have continued to write, mostly devotionals from my personal Bible study. I am excited to see what the Lord has in store with the desires that He has given me to help others grow in Him.
I met Sarah while in college and we quickly became great friends and have continued our friendship even though miles separate us. I am excited to join her in this ministry.
