A magazine for Christian Women

For several years I looked for a Christian magazine that was geared specifically for women, one that contained information that was relevant to current topics not just how to lose weight in ten days, or prevent wrinkles by using this creme. I wanted to read stories of women who were struggling in the same areas I was and how they were able to overcome it. Even though I spent so much time searching the internet I could not find what I was looking for. Then a thought occurred to me. I know so many women whose stories and testimonies have blessed my heart and encouraged me in my walk with the Lord, what if I could give them a platform where they could share it with others? And that, my friends, is how this crazy idea got started!
I sat down and thought about some of the issues that were talked about often, then reached out to several people who I knew had the greatest experience in this area. Some of the topics included:

• Self-worth
• Infertiltiy
• Children's imagination
• Waiting on God to bring your spouse to you

These are issues that are discussed on a regular basis, with many of us feeling discouraged about where we were or wondering how to handle it from a Biblical perspective. 
I wanted to have certain articles that would make a regular appearance and here was my list:

• A focus on a relevant topic
• News from the mission field: a story from a lady who is serving the Lord abroad
• Journey to Grace: a story of salvation
• She considereth a field: how a woman took her hobby or talent and turned it into a business.
• From Miss to Mrs: how God brought two people together in His perfect timing.
• One for the children: a mother shares her insights into the beautiful world of raising children for the Lord.

Then the extras to include that balance out the magazine:

• In the home: decor tips and helpful hints to keep the house running smooth
• Recipes: everyone loves learning a new recipe - A taste of Germany was the focus for this edition
• Exercises we can do from the home
• A passage of scripture we can memorize
• Self-care: tips on how to take care of ourselves.
• A moment in Psalms: just a little devotional
• Merry heart corner: a place where we can relax and smile
• A three month Bible reading plan and some tips to make your quiet time better.
• Inspiring quotes and poems
• Seeds of kindness
• Answered prayers
• Book reviews
• and much more!

Since this magazine will come out this fall, September first, I choose to include some sweet reminders of why it is important to be thankful.
​My goal was to create something that had a little encouragement and help for every age. Whether you are single at 25, a young mother, or a wonderful grandma, you will find something to inspire you and help you in your walk with the Lord.
This was not an easy journey, I will admit that I was terrified and still am quite nervous but I have also seen God move in amazing ways and provide the exact people I needed.
One of the biggest needs I had was finding someone who would be willing to help me with editing the magazine. Those who read my blog on a regular basis will tell you that my grammar leaves a lot to be desired. While I love to write, I often forget the rules that go along with it which is very evident! God has provided not one but three different ladies who graciously agreed to help me. There are several others who have helped with the marketing aspect and countless other who have given me the encouragement I needed at exactly the right time. God has been so good to me and I pray this magazine will touch so many because it's creation has already blessed me.
In case you are wondering, this magazine will come out every three months with the premiere issue arriving September 1st and it will run until November.
