In a day of hurry, noise, and a packed schedule it can be hard to find time to be still and know God. When you are able to succeed in finding a moment to sit quietly, you may be unsure of what to do in the stillness. This is the purpose of "A Day of Stillness", a special time where women will gather together and learn to embrace the silence so we can know our God. This event in free and will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 10 am till noon at The Potter's Place (learn more about this amazing place here) located at 738 Clayton St, Central, SC 29630. There is a limited number of seats available so be sure to register soon by using the form below. If you are registering for several people be sure to list their names in the comment area.
Program Outline:
10:00 am - Meet and Greet (muffins and coffee will be provided) 10:15 am - Workshop on "Be Still and Know" Psalm 46:10 10:45 am - Testimony of the power of the quiet place 11:00 am - Worship in Song 11:10 am - Time to Practice (at this point we will each take our Bibles and find a quiet place to just read a few verses and meditate and pray over them. This is a special time for you to enjoy a few moments away from the distractions and practice being still.) 11:40 am - Come back together and share a few testimonies. 11:50 am - Closing
Please consider leaving your phone in the car during this two hour time just to give yourself a moment to enjoy the stillness and away from the distractions. I plan on bringing my wrist watch (I almost forgot what that was) so I can keep track of the time without my phone!
